The new team of IPL is Lucknow Super Giants which is famous by the name of LSG. This team has played twice and has been qualified for the playoff during the IPL season 2024. They had been disqualified from the match only in one IPL season. IPL 2025 Retention Rules
There should be a team of six players which can be done through direct retentions or RTM can be used. The retention of overseas player is unlimited but two largest players who can be retained as uncapped. Any Indian player who has been lost in the World Cup more than 5 years and there is no central contract from BCCI can be retained as uncapped players. The number of retentions is dependent on RTMs.

KL Rahul
Sanjeev Goenka the owner of LSG had a discussion with a skipper of LSG named KL Rahul after LSG had been failed in match and disqualified for the playoffs. After that a rumour was made that KL Rahul would be released in the LSG in IPL 2025. KL Rahul is the top run scorer of the IPL in the last few years. Mohsin Khan is the second young pace bowler who has performed well for LSG. He is a left arm seamer who has problem with fitness but when is he is fit he performs well. He hits the bat hardly can do bowling with a new ball and towards the end of the innings as well. He has an average of 8.51 in 23 IPL matches and has also taken 27 wickets. He has not completed fully in the three years of IPL season got a good Indian pacer for four crores which becomes a good deal for LSG. But he is the key manager of LSG.
Ravi Bishnoi performed very well throughout the match. Ravi Bishnoi was kept away from the team since the days before the auction. He has been one of the consistent players of LSG .
