Police said that Malaika Arora’s father Anil Arora committed suicide this morning. Anil Arora jumped from the sixth floor of his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. This incident happened around 9 am today.
Malaika Arora, who lived in Pune, was seen arriving at her residence in Mumbai when she came to know about it. Before her, her ex-husband, who is a film producer and actor, Arbaaz Khan was seen at Arora’s residence in Mumbai this morning.
Malaika’s former sister-in-law and Arbaaz Khan’s sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri was also seen at Anil Arora’s residence.

Malaika has been a model before, and she has also been a winner. She has hosted India’s Best Dancer and many TV shows in the last few years. Apart from this, Malaika Arora also runs a yoga studio, and a food-delivery platform.
Malaika Arora was previously married to Arbaaz Khan. Their marriage lasted for 19 years and they got divorced in 2017. They are also raising their son Arhaan, who is pursuing higher education abroad.
Malaika was dating actor Arjun Kapoor for the last few years, recently reports claimed that the two have ended their relationship. Arhaan is the only son of Arbaaz and Malaika and was born in the year 2002.
According to news agency ANI, Anil Arora, father of Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora, has passed away.
His death is being reported as a suicide. The exact details are not yet known. His family includes Malaika, Amrita as well as his mother Joyce Polycarp.
ANI tweeted today: “Actress-model Malaika Arora’s father committed suicide by jumping from the terrace. Police team reached the spot: Mumbai Police.”
Meanwhile, a source told PTI, “Malaika’s father passed away this morning. He has not committed suicide; it is an accident. This is shocking to everyone as he did not have any disease.”
Arbaaz reached Malaika’s house to meet her family
Malaika’s parents divorced when she was 11, and she lived with her mother and sister Amrita in Chembur. His mother, Joyce Polycarp, is a Malayali Christian, and his father, Anil Arora, was a Punjabi Hindu from the Indian border town of Fazilka who served in the Indian Merchant Navy.
She said in a show last year that “I got to see a new side of my mother when my parents separated. I learned a resolve in my work ethic and how to get up every morning and do whatever it takes to be completely free. Those early lessons have shaped my life and professional journey. I am still a fiercely independent person; I value my independence and live life by my own rules.”
Amrita Arora is married to businessman Shakeel Ladak in 2009 and has two sons.
