Jr NTR plays a dual role in this latest venture, playing both Devara and Varadha. These are the key figures in a storyline set in a coastal region, where power struggles and shifting loyalties drive the plot. Saif Ali khan is playing the role of kushti (wrestling) master as Bhaira, whose dominance is challenged by Jr NTR’s characters.
Janhavi Kapoor plays Thangam, a village girl involved in a love story with Jr NTR’s son. She adds emotional complexity, and a softer, more personal dimension to the intense action-driven narrative, whereas the son, who contrasts with his father’s strong-willed nature, might be forced to go in ways that echo his father’s challenges.
The action-packed drama reunites Jr NTR with director Koratala Siva. Their previous collaboration on Janatha Garage has been a major success.
Kosaraju Hari Krishna and Sudhakar Mikkilineni under the banners of NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, have produced the movie.
Movie review from fans
The audience response for Devara is nothing short of phenomenal. Fans are loving the power-packed performances as well as the magnificent visual effects. They are enjoying the masterpiece where action, drama, and emotion collide in a way that feels both epic and intimate. Even though some fans believe cinematography and BGM were top-notch, especially in the fight sequences, they think the story could have been better.
After RRR, the big release of Jr. NTR
After SS Rajamouli-directorial RRR, Devara: part 1 is Jr NTR’s second venture. By collecting Rs 223 crore, on its opening day, RRR, holds the top spot for the highest Day 1 collections worldwide. These figures set a high benchmark for Devara: Part 1. The star-studded cast and advance bookings of the movie suggest it has the potential to perform exceptionally well.
