It is seen that during adolescent period drug addiction takes place. The brain and behaviour of adolescents get affected and they take drug unlimitedly. Alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, heroin, cocaine and sleeping pills are considered as drugs. When the adolescent boy or girl gets addicted to drug, he or she cannot control to take drugs despite knowing that drugs might be harmful for her or him. Health, relationships and overall quality of life gets affected during taking drugs.

Prescription Opioids
If consumed excessively they can cause dizziness, confusion, nausea, constipation and slowed breathing.
Cocaine
It is mostly snorted through the nose and is also smoked. It can lead to migraine and seizures . It makes the person more prone to HIV AIDS and hepatitis. It reduces the flow of blood in gastrointestinal tract. It increases chest pain .
Anabolic Steroids
Anabolic Steroids are the medicines which are manufactured in the form of testosterone hormones. It delays puberty in children who are assigned male at birth. It can affect the kidney and growth. It can lead to blood cancer.
Heroin
Heroin is mainly injected, snorted or smoked. It can lead to depression, euphoria, mood swings, anxiety and hostility towards others Heroin damages the kidneys and liver.
Inhalants
Inhalants are the substances which are consumed for breathing in air. They are used for breathing the fumes occurred by sniffing, snorting, bagging or huffing. It affects the central nervous system. People get prone to spasms. Behavioural development may get delayed. Brain may get damaged.
Club Drugs
Club Drugs are the group of drugs consumed in bars, nightclubs, concerts and parties for increasing sensations and reducing inhibitions. It affects the brain sense organs may get impaired. Vision becomes blurred.
Hallucinogens
Hallucinogens are the group of drugs where the perception of realty gets altered. Thought and feelings of the person changes. Emotions get affected in hallucinogens. There might be a rise of perception of pain. Learning and memory may get impaired.
