Dubai’s Miracle Garden
It’s around some 72000 sq meters and famous as the largest natural flower garden in the world, there’s a sense of Alice in Stroll among oddball peacocks, clocks, and castles draped in blooms, or relax in a cabana furnished with floor couches and voluminous drapes.
Home to 100 million flowers, and adjacent to the massive nine-domed Dubai Butterfly Garden, it is incredibly popular for its mystique.
The garden will make you forget your home garden, attracting 55,000+ visitors a week. Apart from a small trampoline park and souvenir shop, the complex also has dining options.
Biggest Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve
Located on the outskirts of Sharjah, the 225 square kilometer Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve makes up 5% of the entire land area of the Emirate of Dubai. The reserve was created on 9 January 2002 and contains the Arabian Oryx which was successfully returned to the wild through dedicated conservation programs.
There is accommodation inside the reserve, divided into four areas: the third allows only resort guests, and only a select group of desert tour providers, such as Arabian Adventures, allow entry for fewer than an overnight stay at the resort.
Interesting Etihad Museum
Opened in 2017, the visually stunning Etihad Museum shows visitors the fascinating history of the UAE’s 1971 founding, beginning with the discovery of oil in the 1950s and the British withdrawal in 1968.
Documentary films, artifacts, timelines, photographs and interactive exhibits focus on historical milestones in the years leading up to and immediately following this momentous occasion, and they pay tribute to the country’s seven founding fathers. The site of the historic signing of the UAE’s constitution is also where tours of the nearby circular Union House are free.
Amazing Gold Souq
For a taste of the Arabian Nights, head to Dubai’s historic center and plunge headlong into its chaotic markets. The biggest headliner is the glittering Gold Souk. Even a stroll through it will make you feel like you’ve entered a giant Aladdin’s cave. It’s fun just to watch the action, especially in the evening. Whether you’re looking for a pair of earrings, an engagement ring or a dowry-worthy necklace, show off your bargaining skills. A little pricey for the middle class but well worth it.
Dreamy White Dubai
Dazzling rooftop bars, classic pubs, cool karaoke joints, speakeasy-style nightclubs, chill beachfront lounges live-music venues – with variety, finding a party location to suit your mood is hardly a tall order in Dubai. One of the biggest draws for action is White Dubai. Perched atop the Meydan Racecourse grandstand, the massive facility boasts spectacular lighting and audio equipment.
Creator’s Design District
This hub for creative visitors with its attractive architecture, contemporary restaurants, public art, galleries and calendar of cultural events. Visitors to the Dubai Design District can join this laboratory of tastemakers by browsing showrooms and pop-ups, listening to bearded hipsters chatting in hip cafes, checking out art exhibitions in building, or attending free screenings and workshops.
There is a week-long Dubai Design Week in November that features a wide range of masterclasses, seminars, workshops, and kid-friendly events.
Most Economic Butterfly Garden
If you want to sharpen your knowledge of these pretty flying insects, go into the Dubai Butterfly Museum, situated next to the Dubai Miracle Garden. You can witness firsthand how about 15,000 butterflies transform from caterpillars to their avian forms as they flit around nine indoor domed gardens. Don’t forget to visit such an inspiring god gifted process and don’t miss the Butterfly and Insect Museum, which features in-depth analysis and information about thousands of colorful butterfly species from around the world.
The magical Dubai Fountain
You’ll find it at the foot of the Burj Khalifa, one of the world’s largest choreographed fountain displays, where powerful jet streams rise up to 150 meters into the air and sway to musical numbers. Stay in the evening when the display begins at sunset and takes place every 30 minutes until the final song plays at 11 p.m. There are also a variety of food joints in the Dubai Mall or Souk Al Bahar where you can relax and enjoy the show while eating.
Manmade Palm Jumeirah
One of the largest islands in the world, Palm Jumeirah is an invention of human genius. Locals and tourists alike flock to its vast array of high-end hotels – Waldorf Astoria, Fairmont, One Only, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and, perhaps most famous, Atlantis, The Palm. The monorail that runs along the ‘trunk’ and connects to the tram system on the mainland makes getting here easy.
Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhoods
Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood in Bur Dubai is one of the historical neighbourhoods in the city. Best seen on foot, this area offers real views of a bygone era with traditional wind towers and a maze of winding alleyways, positioned along the historic waterways of Dubai Creek. Visit the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU) to get a sense of the local way of life. They provide guided mosque visits, Arabic classes, and heritage excursions. After exploring, take an atmospheric abra boat ride to the other side of the creek.
