    Why to keep a proper hygiene and cleanliness

    Proper hygiene refers to the way in which people keep their body fit and healthy. If there are improper hygiene people can fall ill easily. They can be prone to several infections such as typhoid, jaundice, and cholera. One of the advertisements campaigns was launched by Hindusthan Unilever was Haat Mooh Baam where children say that they will wash hands with proper hand wash.

    Nowadays most of the people who get hurry with their work, so they sometimes forget to take bath. Most women forget to change their sanitary pads after use can lead to poor hygiene. Most women forget to change the diapers of the infants which leads to poor hygiene to the infants. Many people forget to wash their hands after using toilet which leads to improper hygiene.

    Causes of poor hygiene

    The causes of poor hygiene are as follows: –

    1. If a person does-not take bath regularly, there can be poor hygiene.
    2. If the person wears the clothes which are unwashed, he or she is unhygienic.
    3. If the person does not wash feet regularly, he or she is constantly as unhygienic.
    4. If the person does-not change the inner, he or she is considered as unhygienic.
    5. If a person does not brush the teeth properly, bacteria can start growing in the teeth and unpleasant smell comes out.
    6. If a person smokes a lot, teeth get affected and can cavities occur in the teeth.
    7. If a person does-not shampoo the hair, his or her hair becomes oily and can have lot of dandruffs.
    8. In slums there is excess of dirt in hair occurs which leads to the sign of growing hair lice which can lead to itching of hair.
    9. People who are sick and have gone out without masks are considered as unhygienic.
    10. People split on the streets are considered as unhygienic.

    How to keep to a proper hygiene

    People must wash their hands regularly. It is one of the best ways for reducing the spraying of diseases. People must wash their hands when they are going to eat and have completed having food. People must wash their hands after flushing toilets. People who have visited sick patients must wash their hands. People who want to touch the newborn babies must wash their hands or else they can fall ill.

    1. People must wash their hands first then use a hand-wash
    2. They should rub their hands properly with soap. It must be done within 20 seconds.
    3. People must wash their hands properly
    4. After washing people can use tissues for drying their hands
    1. People should take bath regularly. If people take bath, their body washes away the skin cells which had become dead and helps to fight against diseases. Adults must take a bath twice a week so that the body becomes neat and clean.
    2. People should brush their teeth twice a day. Most people do brush before meals. They don’t brush at night. When the food is consumed, food particles settle down. If it is not removed, germs and moulds start growing and small holes called cavities grow in teeth. So, food should be brushed at night so that small particles of food settle down. In Colgate Zigzag ad a child has gone to school and sees his teacher had leftover food in teeth which was eaten last night and asks that whether she had palang spinach. The teacher had to go to dentist who had recommended that she brush the teeth at night.
    3. People should cut and trim their nails. Excess long nail breaks down when pressed and can lead to bleeding. So, nails should be trimmed so that nails can get proper space.
    4. Nowadays people keep their long hair open for styling. If long hair gets exposed to air, hair becomes full of tangled when combed let to hair fall. So, for keeping hair open they should apply a serum which helps the hair to become less tangled. People who have kept their hair open if there is air must carry a clutter so that they can tie a bun whenever they want to do.
    5. If there are water shortage people can wash their body with clothes or can go into a swimming pool, pond, river, or lake so that they can take bath there.
    6. People after taking bath in the sea must bath with proper soap which helps in removing the salt water from the body.
    7. People after coming out from swimming pool must shower so that the chlorine water can come out of the body.
    8. Women after peeing must wash their vagina properly or else vagina can start burning and it becomes difficult for people to sleep.
    9. Women must wear cotton pads during menstrual cycle which are much safer.
    10. Women who are feeding to baby products to the baby in a bottle must wash the bottles with soap and water properly and there should be no stains left.
    11. People who have lice in hair must use a liceal shampoo and can use a special comb for removing lice.
    12. In winter skin becomes dry when it is scratched it can can become white. So, people should apply oil or body lotion to prevent the skin from getting dry.

    Conclusion

    Proper hygiene is one of the best ways to protect person from getting sick. Proper hygiene is needed so that the spraying of diseases should be prevented. If people, follow proper healthy practices hygiene can be maintained. If there is no soap and water, people can use hand sanitisers to stay sanitised.
